After a successful career with the Army, Dame Kelly Holmes went on to represent Great Britain at every major athletics championships winning a variety of Gold, Silver and Bronze medals, including her breath-taking double gold triumph at the 2004 Olympics.

Kelly has since become the author of ‘Black, White & Gold’, ‘My Olympic Ten Days’ and ‘The Parent’s Guide to Getting Your Kids Fit’.

 

Glyn Walden has been teaching English and promoting sport to children for most of his life. As a Primary School Headteacher, a cricket and athletics coach, and a grandad, he has accumulated some forty years’ worth of experience.

Drawing on their own childhood memories and teaching experiences, they have teamed up to produce a wonderful series of stories which will delight and educate children for years to come.
